2024. október 24. és 25. között Spanyolországban, a Valenciai Egyetem Közgazdasági Karán rendezték meg az európai történeti demográfiai adatbázisépítő kutatócsoportok 2024-es találkozóját, amelyen részt vett Demeter Gábor, projektünk szenior kutatója. A projekt vezető kutatójával, F. Romhányi Beatrix-szal és Sz. Simon Évával közösen jegyzett előadásának címe: GISta Hungarorum: challenges of an integrated and visualized settlement-level database of the Kingdom of Hungary (1330-2010).
A Reconciling the irreconcilable: methods and techniques towards a European historical local population database című rendezvény feladata az EHES (European Historical Economics Society) 2025-ös lundi (Svédország) konferenciájának előkészítése, a történeti demográfiai adatbázis-építés jelen állapotának országonkénti bemutatása és egy összeurópai, településszintű népességszám-rekonstrukciós projekt (1800-2010) financiális és szakmai feltételeinek kidolgozása volt.
Between October 24th and 25th, the 2024 meeting of European historical demographic database building research groups was held in Spain at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Valencia, in which Gábor Demeter, senior researcher of our project, participated.The title of his presentation, co-authored with the project's lead researcher, Beatrix F. Romhányi and Éva Sz. Simon, is: GISta Hungarorum: challenges of an integrated and visualized settlement-level database of the Kingdom of Hungary (1330-2010).
The task of the event Reconciling the irreconcilable: methods and techniques towards a European historical local population database was to prepare the EHES (European Historical Economics Society) conference in Lund (Sweden) in 2025, to present the current state of historical demographic database construction by country, and to develop the financial and professional conditions for a pan-European population reconstruction project (1800-2010).
