Judit Majorossy obtained degrees in History, English Language and Literature, and later in Medieval Studies. She defended her PhD in 2006, and has been working as lecturer and senior scientist at the Department of History of the University of Vienna since 2015. Her research interests include medieval urban, social and economic history, medieval urban usage of space and social topography, and various aspects of lay religiosity (confraternities, pilgrimages, religious foundations, hospitals, poor relief), and she has published on these topics.
