Kati is a local contributor of our participatory research projects in Tiszavasvári. She joined our research team in 2022, when the earlier translanguaging project finished, and our participatory research moved “outside” the school environment to engage with the town’s public. Before retiring, she did accounting for Magiszter Primary School, where children from the bilingual Roma neighbourhood study. At the time of writing, alongside her retirement, she still works at Magiszter, tasked with registering pupils’ absence from school in order to monitor child health, welfare, and safety issues. She is an active member of Tiszavasvári’s Calvinist congregation. She lives in the centre of Tiszavasvári.
