Gabriella is a local contributor of our participatory research projects in Tiszavasvári. She joined our research team in 2024, but she was involved in earlier pedagogical projects alongside Erika Léva Kerekesné, and co-authored in 2017 with János Imre Heltai a journal article on integration strategies for bilingual Roma children. Growing up near the monolingual Roma neighbourhood in Büd, she now lives near the bilingual Roma neighbourhood where most of our work is based, in the proximity of the Magiszter Primary School and Nursery where bilingual Roma children start their education. She was headteacher of the Magiszter Nursery where most children from the bilingual Roma neighbourhood are registered. Her work with nursery staff on Roma inclusion is an achievement acknowledged by professionals and Roma families alike.
